Top 10 Destinations To Motivate Your Artistic Side

 


              Welcome my tala, to my top 10 travel destinations to motivate your artistic side! These are the following sites where you can open your creative side and even start art yourself if you aren't into arts and crafts already 


But Wait!...What do I need to do Arts? 


                    If you're a beginner artist, you might think in order to draw, you must have everything from pencils to all the types of paint, but not to worry! Even with simple pencil and paper, you can sketch away to your hearts content, art is all about what you feel in the moment, and you pour it into a masterpiece ~

10. Anda Street, Manila


            Opening Hours: Always Open 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    Graffiti in Intramuros? Although Intramuros is known for its historic architecture and the beauty of its history, it's also the place for people to release their creativeness with vivid urban art. Why graffiti? It's because it has creative freedom and you don't have to think if what you're doing is right or wrong, you simply create. (Of course, don't create anything offensive, okay tala? ★)


09. The Collective, Makati City


            Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays (2pm onwards) 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    The Collective is a "mini-art district" as commented by Lakwatserong Tsinelas. It is also filled with vivid arts and murals that allows us to gain visual of different artists art style as well as abstract art! Art isn't simply caged into one way of drawing, it's a bunch of lines, curves, colors, and emotion that come together that creates this huge masterpiece. Additionally, there are multiple stores, shops, and galleries that makes this place home for art lovers ★


08. Mac Arthur Highway, Valenzuela


            Opening Hours: Always Open
            Entrance Fee: None

                    Mac Arthur Highway is a long road where there are walls along the road where it goes from plain roads to creative art pieces started by the locals who let their artistic side flourish. (But remember tala, vandalism is wrong! Don't go painting at random areas, especially private buildings!)


07. Track 30th and Tera 28, Taguig City


            Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays (6 am to 10 pm) 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    An open area filled with art pieces that decorate the buildings commissioning talented artist. It is also home of these freeform architects playground. My tala can also play and immerse themselves in this art pieces and have a much more in depth feel of what they wanna draw! (Please be careful though!) 


06. Goodfriend Bridge, Marikina


            Opening Hours: Always Open 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    "Freedom of Expression" as quoted by Tripzilla, as you can see tala, artist here are free to draw whatever their hearts desire! you too can make your art known - or not, but at least share your creativeness in the walls of Marikina!


05. Arroceros Forest Park, Manila


            Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays (8 am to 5 pm) 
            Entrance Fee: 15 PHP

                    Time to breathe in the fresh air and take in the beautiful greenery of the Arroceros Forest Park. 
                       "But why forest park?" From this point on, we'll start to tackle having actual subjects in our art, and what better way to be motivated that to surround ourselves with the most beautiful subject of them all, Mother Nature ★ (Watch out for your green colors! You might run out soon!)


04. Manila Ocean Park, Manila 


            Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday (10 am to 6 pm)
            Entrance Fee: From 499 PHP to 1000 PHP

                    "Another Park?" This one is filled with live moving subjects, and these subjects vary from different sizes and different colors! You will be able to take in the beauty of marine life, and Philippines is blessed to have a rich marine ecosystem! (You'll be needed lot's of blue paint here ★)


03. San Agustin Church 


            Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays (8 am to 5 pm) 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    To appreciate art, one must appreciate all forms of art, even architecture! This, my tala, is the church of Saint Augustine that has a baroque architecture that is made during Spanish Colonial period. This building holds important history that it is considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
                       Tip: You may sketch the cathedral to capture its beauty, but don't be overwhelmed with the tiny details, block it into large shapes, then you make of little details later ★


02. Fort Santiago, Manila


            Opening Hours: (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri - 8 am to 8 pm / Thu, Sat, Sun - 9 am to 8 pm)
            Entrance Fee: 75 PHP

                    The most well-preserved strongholds, this is where you can not only grasp the beautiful ruins and architecture. Not only can you see the history, but you can also tap into your emotional side to feel the atmosphere here in Fort Santiago, you'd want to draw solemn art that captures hardship and battles as you trudge forward the entirety of Fort Santiago. 
                        (Remember the tip? Additionally, you don't have to fill in the details! you can capture the moment by also experimenting with colors!)


01. National Fine Arts Museum, Manila



            Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday (9 am to 6 pm) 
            Entrance Fee: None

                    What better place to be motivated to draw than the art museum instead. Although I promised that it's not the usual art museum types of destination, you cannot deny the diversity of arts that is all showcased for us to see here in National Museum of Fine Arts. 
                             I have added this specifically to showcase that art will be appreciated by the right people, and how no matter what your medium is, if it's from the heart, it has your story, it's already a masterpiece in itself.
